Brutal.

Sports shows on TV offer sports with the subject "Between the Lines."

Cleveland gave Barack Obama the State of Ohio, and the Presidency.

My premise is that Cleveland folks might have to endure more sports team years of losing.

And losing, And losing.

I was back there when my Dad died and I buried him in early March. Northeastern Ohio has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Fat and over weight people pulling oxygen tanks and smoking along the way in areas that thrived less than two decades ago.

It's frickin' 2013. Quit smoking and lose weight.

My kids, and all of you here who work, will be paying their med bills for their care, as they care not about anything but perhaps only themselves.

I have 4 kids and 5 grand kids with the two child bearers to date living with their respective biological partners and married husbands.

Three of my four kids have graduated college debt free, with credit to them and me.

The fourth kid still has a bit to go, but he has a full academic scholarship, credit to my wife, and perhaps a bit me.

Two of my daughters are earning in the top income bracket. The 3rd just had her second child, with her husband who lives under the same roof as her and their child.

None of us have much in common with the people of Cleveland.

I lived much closer to Cleveland than I think most posting here other than JR and Don Surber.

I paid for my own college education. I'd like to say by eating hot dogs and beans, but truth be told I only had hot dogs...or balogna.... on a good earnings week when I was not spending my hard earned cash on women and drink and music. Balogna or hot dogs seemed like a less need when it came to women, or drink.

I advise all Cleveland Fans to run away and find another avenue of hopeful fun.

It's all downhill in Cleveland, and it's time to think about moving the franchises.

(KemM was permitted to post this kind of stuff, and no one cared. I post this stuff, and I get banned from The Browns Board.)

Cleveland Heights was about 3 miles from the city limits. And current home about 70 miles.

Some good things happening in Cleveland this decade: Ohio City, Detroit Ave and Tremont on the west side are lively. Euclid Ave is best shape from downtown to U Circle in ages. The two hospitals are hogging much of the east side. Art Museum expansion completed looks great. Economy is patchy but some elements are up and others down. Sports teams aren't very good, but restaurant scene has improved markedly, metroparks still excellent. View it as half full or half empty as you choose.

I think it I live about 65 miles from Cleveland. I go frequently to Cleveland V.A. Wade Park. Getting there I drive thru some areas that are ugly & scary. It is what is it. There are parts of Mansfield that almost as bad, as is Wooster where I work. Sometimes I lock the doors at the pizza shop & if there is a pick up, I tell them to knock. Got to be careful.

Only 2 games under 500.

Need some luck.

Mark Shapiro's organization needs 52 wins in the next 100 to avoid yet ANOTHER losing season in his tenure as GM and President.

I do not see any 52 and 48 performance from his chosen players, at this point and perspective.

My wife and I had our youngest daughter and her boyfriend over for dinner this evening. My wife made spaghetti with bison meat in the sauce for kicks and giggles.

It was a great choice.

We let her boyfriend vent with our support over some family and work issues in his life. I know his family. They are a GREAT family. from my perspective which of course is different than what he has had in his 26 years. I just tried to listen and let him vent.

And then we watched Christopher Titus, "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding."

It was foreshadowing, for my youngest girl kid's boyfriend who does not know Titus, but will be with us to see him later this month. With his family.

As my youngest acquired daughter was leaving with the requisite parental one armed hug, I whispered in her ear that I was very proud of her, and told her I bragged about her often.

I got a hard hug back in return.

I earlier had let her boyfriend know my views on Lebron James and Mark Shapiro, and all that is 2013 LOSING Clevleland.

He played along well.

McDoc YOU are a veteran.

Thank you for your service and I will and do support you.

Lock those doors, and feel free to run stop lights in Cleveland if you think you need to in that particular neighborhood.

I used to do undercover retail work in Miami, FL back in the old days. My boss was a super cool 6'4" former Miami city policeman. If I had to go to court for depositions or testimony at the Dade County locale in "a rough part of town," he made me take one of his guns to put under my seat.

Now in Florida yet again for me in 2013, I legally can have a concealed gun.

I'm a good guy, and will only fire within the law and wisely.

I won the shooting range competition shortly after getting my pemit. 200 shots, and no target misses from 24 feet, a notable distance in Florida concealed weapons laws.

I went to Oakland to recruit teachers to try to save the kids and their futures. I succeeded in hiring the best teachers. Jerry Browne was "Mayor" at the time, and then he bolted for yet another job paid from the public coffers, this time at the state level again...and again.

I'll give you that Oakland might be a bigger hell hole of humanity than Cleveland, but I hope we can agree that both are in the proverbial Top Ten.

And THAT is being kind to Cleveland.

I really thought we'd take those last two games from Detroit. Time for Tito to step up.

Time for Jason to earn his keep. This team needs some inspiration and leadership from the big fella and we need it soon.
