I have The Tribe at 4 wins and 11 losses in the last 15 games as mid-season approaches. Did I tally that correctly?
Go ahead and check and correct me, if necessary.
Shapiro has done his very best with his chosen ones to put fans in seats as summer approaches. I really mean that. Shapiro's absolute best.
I declared Francona was "damaged goods" when The Tribe Organization lifted him from the litter heap of those no one wanted to preside over sports turf in Cleveland Obama Land where Rusty has told us often no respectable athlete or organization guy wants to be.
Win tomorrow in the Land of Former Clevelander George Steinbrenner who got out of Cleveland at the right time and then won a few Championships and later died, and then we will be 5 and 11 in the last 16.
And at least, moving on up.

I remember attending a 1997 playoff game at "The Jake" (much better stadium moniker than "Progressive") when Yankee Fans were later licking themselves with pleasure with the slogan "back to back to back" after three consecutive Yankee dingers against us in an early series win.
We later showed them, and won that series, and they all collectively cried. And it was great.
Terry Francona fortunately avoided his own personal "back to back to back" as he avoided being ejected in his 3rd consecutive game today.
I've been watching baseball for a bunch of years. Anyone recall when a manager was ejected AFTER a game as Francona was on Tuesday?
The travesty apparently inspired Chris Perez to call for home delivery of marijuana to ease the pain (which is permitted by law in many places).
We know from his past track record Francona would have allowed drinking during the game in the locker room. I'll guess Francona is OK with Chris and the brothers doobie.

Mathematically, The Tribe is still very much alive for the post season.
It's a soft year apparently, in our division to this point. Wild Card is out of the question as Houston is no problem for the rest of The West.
Forewarning, I will quickly and often lament the fact Mark Shapiro is still around for inexplicable reasons.

We catch a break of sorts.......we won't be facing Scherzer in the Detroit series. He beat the Rays today and he runs his record to 8-0.

We can still go 2-1 in Detroit and pick up a game. We won't be facing Scherzer.
