The Indians have been making moves all day, but nothing about the higher guys yet. I’ve been watching. All minor minor league transactions so far. The only one that really caught my eye was Will Brennan was promoted from AZL Blue to Mahoning Valley. As I said, very minor so far.

if the player was in the organization on Aug. 31 and is replacing someone who is on the injured list and has served the minimum amount of time required for activation.
So Ethan Hankins or George Valera or Ka ai Tom or anyone anywhere in the organization is eligible to replace an injured player

I wonder if Brennan may be replacing Valera? He's missed the lineup most days lately

Correct. If Jose Ramirez gets hurt a week before playoffs, Tribe could petition commissioner office to allow them to bring Nolan Jones up and put on postseason roster. As an example.

News just came thru. Bauers and Allen sent down to Columbus to make room for Puig and Reyes.
Me personally, I would have kept Allen over Luplow cause he can play center and pinch run, and spell Reyes in OF late in a game we are winning on a day he's playing the field. Little extra speed in field. Stuff like that. But I have no idea if Luplow has any options left. That may have decided that.

Sending Bauers down was a no brainer. He is an interesting prospect for sure and showed multiple skills.
But he sure needs to get regular at bats at this point, not sit on an MLB bench. (Probably the same for Allen)
Good point about options for Luplow - and perhaps they think he can play some CF. He has shown good fielding skills.
However it does break my heart to see Allen go down as it seems he's blossoming. Glad he's had the chance to show his stuff though.
He'll be back in a month.

Actually might help, they probably saw him in NL.

Oh, actually Reyes didn’t come up till after he was out of NL. But maybe Puig knows him.
By the way, Bauer posted a really nice video to his Twitter account. A thank you and goodbye to Cleveland. It’s a worthy few minutes of your time.

Luplow has an option; that's how they sent him down in April. No longer desperate for his RH bat but they seem pretty happy with him as a 1/2 time regular; he'll share LF with Naquin; Tyler will have to be the backup in CF.

LouFla:
Drennan heard about Bauer’s video and was just saying on his show how he’d like to watch it but don’t know how. Ashley Collins isn’t on set with him today so he doesn’t have a young person to help him with social media.
He also said he hasn’t seen tonight’s lineup yet.
Somebody send that man a link to our forum.

15. A sidelight to the big trade is the Tribe sent what was left of Bauer’s $13 million salary for this season to the Reds. They added about $10.5 million in salaries (Puig and Reyes) at the big league level. No other money was involved in the deal.
Seagull, I guess it was not about the money !
