Puig part of trade could be just balancing out the salaries of Bauer and Puig for the rest of the year.

I thought it was interesting that Joe Girardi on MLB thought that the Reds might flip Bauer to a team that the Indians would not trade Bauer to.

Resounding sentiment around the league: Indians pulled off precisely the heist they have dreamed about since last winter.

Some connections between the new guys and some Indians players that will make things interesting, too. Much, much more coming soon on @TheAthleticCLE.

TFIR, be sure to share that article with us. Meisel has me interested.

I don't know if Luplow has any options left. But if he does I would expect him to go down before Allen.

Did you guys see Garrett charge the entire Pirates dugout by himself last night?

Can we trade for him now? I really want him on my team.

I realize that discussing Salazar's health in any way is problematic but..

I wonder if they tried to time his readiness with the trade deadline figuring they'd probably want him to step into the rotation then.

there is, of course, a very good chance that he won't still be healthy by September 1.

They are hoping Kluber will be back in late August so that timing would work out.

Ugh, Braves just acquired Shane Greene. He was a guy I was hoping for.

BTW, Ken Giles is having elbow discomfort. Had a cortisone shot. What horrible timing for our old buddies in Toronto.

So far the Twins have just acquired Marcos Diplan from Brewers for cash. Not quite the splash they were hoping for. We may didge one there. Just a few minutes left.
