Oh my! Just tuned in at a very bad time. Of all the five games this weekend, this game is the one that I felt most confident in winning. Too bad Bauer could not get any run support. He pitched a great game also.

And Hagadone's ERA hits 8.00 as he allows a 2-run double and these later runs are charged to Hagadone. I wonder if he's ready to bash his hand against the dugout wall again? Scott Barnes who waits in Columbus to potentially replace Hagadone, had the same kind of outing last night in AAA.

Hard to believe that the Indians scored just one run in the first inning of the first game, yet came away with a split. Masterson was masterful!
Of course, the Skankees are a mere shell of a team these days. No Jeter, ARod, Texiera, Youkilis, Granderson.
There literally wasn't a cloud in the sky all day. I sat in the sun in the field boxes on the 3B side for game one, and it was comfortable, although I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a warm winter coat (Indians logo , of course!) It was very cold once you were out of the sun, though!
The crowd was larger than I expected. Not the 30,000 that JOE predicted, but maybe 20,000? I haven't seen an attendance figure. I stuck around for the first 3 innings of the 2nd game, sitting in the bleachers. Bauer was doing well, but he is a very slow worker! It was 1-0 when I left, and still the same score by the time I got off the Shaker Rapid train. But driving home, I had to listen to Hagadone pitch - ugh!

17 innings, no runs for this offense.

It's understandable for the first game, but they had a rookie pitching in the 2nd game.

I think the attendance was close to 24,000. They said 23 and change but I did not get the total numbers.

We have a pretty poor track record against 1st time starters. I had the second game in the bag before it even started.

JOE: You are right about the attendance. I heard it on the local sportscast at 6. They had 23,300, including several thousand walk-ups. There was a long line when I arrived at the park at noon. Glad I bought my ticket in advance! Lots of misguided folks wearing Skankees gear, though :(

But that was the "old" Tribe! It's tough to win both games of a DH, but I'm disappointed that they managed ZERO runs!

I was disappointed also JR. I had a feeling that Bauer was going to pitch well. I thought that the offense would have been primed to execute after the finish to that first game.

I'm sure that the Yankees were very surprised with what they got out of Nuno. The last I remembered him, I believe he won the championship clinching game for Lake county in 2010, but even then he was their 5th starter. NY developed him into a lot more than anyone could guessed was possible.

Although he may have been outpitched to a slight degree, I;m very happy the work Bauer did.

I just hope that they aren't in the "Nothing" mode of the the all or nothing offense. It's fun to score a lot of runs, but I was hoping that they could get consistant.

Essentially anyone who did hear the first game and decide to "Walk up" for the second game won't be back for awhile. That seventh inning was terrible....but even more terrible was 17 innings of zero offensive production. l

Indians had a leadoff triple in the 8th, but couldn't score! :o

The more I watch Kazmir the better I like him. He will be an important asset this year. The thing I like most about him is his ability to pitch with runners on base. I hope we don't have repeats of the last two seasons where the offense goes into these prolonged slumps all hitters at one time.
