Karinchak looks to be rounding back into form since returning from injury. I haven't heard yet but I would bet his velocity is getting back to normal. He has struck out 9 of his last 10 batters. Insane.
Young catcher Y. Diaz was in a small slump but he's out now. 3 hits each of the last two days.
Tom hit a 2 run homer last night.

Delgado seems to be on a roll but his numbers this year are not good. Pretty big kid but not mich power. He made the team USA under 18 and signed for above slot.

Indians 2018 6th Round Pick: 3B Raynel Delgado
ByIBI STAFF REPORTS Jun 5, 2018

At pick #193 in the 6th round, the Cleveland Indians have selected third baseman Raynel Delgado out of Calvary Christian Academy.
Born: 4/4/00 — Height: 6' 2'' Weight: 185 — Bats: Switch — Throws: Right
Jeff Ellis: Delgado has not had the best spring and that has caused him to go from a bubble first rounder to more of a second or third round talent. I do not think he lasts past the third because his bat speed and exit velocities from an up the middle infielder might be the best in this class. He also runs well and recently turned 18. If Delgado had a strong spring, I think he would be a first-round lock, but as a second or even third round pick, Delgado has a chance to be a steal.

That whole Scrappers team has been a disappointment. I was so excited to see what they did this year. Hankins, Valera, Rocchio, Delgado ... team was loaded with legit prospects. Instead only Hankins met expectations and team is 5 games below 500.

I shouldn’t say the whole team. How about this Bryan Lavastida kid? Catcher who has come out of nowhere to kill it. 3 more hits last night, double and a triple. Hitting .331 now.
15th round pick last year out of a small college in Florida. Hit .292 in rookie league last year but I never paid much attention. Going to have to now.

here is the report from when he was drafted:
Indians 2018 15th Round Pick: C Bryan Lavastida
B
At pick #463 in the 15th round, the Cleveland Indians have selected catcher Bryan Lavastida out of Hillsborough Community College.
Born: 11/27/98 — Height: 6' 0'' Weight: 200 — Bats: Right — Throws: Right
Jeff Ellis: Bryan Lavastida is a catcher from Hillsborough community college, who used to play shortstop in third in high school. He stole 11 bases this past season, and is young for his class as the sophomore is not even 20 yet. He started catching this year and as one would expect is very raw. He has a chance to be an offensive minded backstop.
