One out on a strikeout. The Pirates have two more shots at breaking up the no hitter.

A lot of no-hitters this season!
MLB channel just showed a replay of a ball that took a bad hop in front of the Reds 3B Rolen in the 3rd inning. The scorer called it an error.

Odd box score line for Jason Kipnis as I tune in....
3 RBI's with a single for his only hit, with no sacrifices.
Digging deeper, he had an RBI on a fielder's choice and also had a 2 RBI single.

Indians closers with more season saves than Chris Perez include Jose Mesa, Joe Borowski and Bob Wickman.
1995. 2005 and 2007.
I think the club won more ball games those (playoff) seasons.
Doug Jones is in that mix as well.
Chris Perez with save #39, and the first ML Managerial win for Sandy Alomar, Jr.

Since most of us are currently gnashing our teeth at the Indians, I will point out that the Indians selected Jeremy Sowers 1 pick before the Reds took Homer Bailey in the 2004 draft

For the record, I think Omar Vizquel....as is.....is a better baseball knowledge guy than Sandy Alomar, Jr.
Sandy has been out of The Game as a Player for five seasons.
Omar was born within the same 12 months as Sandy, and he still has a glove and bat in active MLB play.
Alomar was gifted with a baseball name with a leg up on his reputation.
Vizquel made his own name known.
