Joe offers Manny a 5-year contract and Antonetti and Shapiro respond by firing Acta. Which management team would you prefer? I'd pick Joe and Manny over Chris and Mark.

My question regarding Francona as Manager. Would not the money be better spent on actual players? How much cheaper would Sandy be?

VT'er- Typical GM doublespeak is what I heard, though he did mention the nucleus of a team with Choo et al,is there said bullpen was a strength and would MOSTLY remain intact (insert Perez about here), likes Cody Allen. Jiminez and Justin were disapointments. Carrasco throwing well.
The main emphasis seemed to be on finding a manager........hell we need players! (loufla emphasis)

Ever since Manny Acta challenged Carrera to take better control of the strikezone, Zeke has been "en fuego".

Carrera has 8 hits in his last 4 ballgames.

Homer Bailey has a no-hitter going into the 9th.

Homer has 9 strikeouts. One walk and one error is keeping Bailey from being perfect.

The Reds scored once in the first and that's been all the scoring in that game.
