I've been a JRod hopeful for many many years, but now that I've seen him in big leagues, only a bit I realize, I have lost my faith in him

I drop Jones and JRod. I guess I keep Noel since we need SOME RH bats although his career arc looks a lot like Oscar Gonzalez'
Otherwise I say goodbye to Kent [could possibly sign him to a minor league contract] and Nikhazy [he had one good minor league season and a good spring training but the rest of 2025 was a step backward.
Aleman also took a major step back in 2025; did his fastball keep up it's velocity? If so I'll give him another chance; if not I'd make room for another younger arm.
Brennan is a proven OK part time OF who comes with a bigger salary and is recovering from injuries; I'm inclined to let him go and assume that he can be replaced by the DeLauter, Valera, Halpin combo.

So the roster is down to 37 with some very cuttable players remaining; I guess Zak Kent was retained since he makes the minimum. I guess Aleman was retained because his stuff still looks good although results were not.
All those sub-mediocre OFs are still subject to the non-tender deadline of November 15

Perhaps they'll go hog wild in adding kids to the roster like they did about four years ago. Besides Genao, add Khalil Watson, pitchers Austin Peterson, relievers: Matt Jahcec, Steven Perez, Jake Miller

Cleveland #Guardians 40-man roster now at 37 players after tonight's moves. That currently leaves three spots for players to protect from the Rule 5 draft.

Here are the three I see them protecting.

1) SS Angel Genao
2) OF Kahlil Watson
3) RHP Yorman Gomez

It seems likely that they'll nontender some of the OFs they have on hand. We can hope Nolan Jones, they have never seen enamored with JRod and he's not done much.

Forgot about Gomez and Antunez!
They have occasionally surprised with relievers; that's why I thought of the 3 I noted.
And maybe they'll live a spot or two to draft someone. Only rarely.

I assume Matt Kroek and catcher Nunez will be dropped.
Reliever Franco Aleman had a very bad season in Columbus

Franco Aleman Stays

What do you think we should do with a raft of underperforming Outfielders?
KEEP HIM or LET HIM GO

Johnnathan Rodriguez? LET HIM GO
Jhonkennsy Noel? LET HIM GOI
Will Brennan? LET HIM GO
Nolan Jones? LET HIM GO

More candidates to leave behind:
Zack Kent LETHIM GO
Doug Nikhazy LET HIM GO
Will Wilson LET HIM GO
John Means MEANS STAYS
Sam Hentges LET HIM GO

We lost Shane Bieber. Let's not lose John Means.
Let's not lose the fact that John Means was an All-Star,
He is also one of only a few Orioles pitchers to have thrown a no-hitter.

Until he was stunted by injury, Aleman showed a major league potential.
Too early to dismiss him.

This team needs an offensive makeover. Period!
struggling to hit 200 and striking out on a 100 pace for the season won't cut it.

I saw that. I think it was a mistake.
You saw the results during the world series of never having enough pitching.
Pitchers, on average, have basically improved after surgery. I was disappointed that we wasted Bieber. I think they may have done the same thing with Means.
