11822Sure! He has to better than that Franmil guy.

Re: General Discussion
11824Hand is now tied for the lead with 10 saves; no runs allowed since his first 3 outings.
Re: General Discussion
11825I read that the Reds could deal Bauer to NYY. That makes sense for both sides.

Source: Deal is Clevinger, Greg Allen and PTBN to Padres; Quantrill, Arias, Cantillo, Hedges, Naylor and Miller to Indians.

Re: General Discussion
11828Indians fill some big holes:
Talented minor league middle infielders.
Good fielding non-hitting major league catcher
Former 1st round draftee OF who's not developing quite as hoped
Hard throwing middle reliever
Decent prospect LH starter not named Logan Allen

Re: General Discussion
11829We now have the two 1st round draft pick Naylors. We can try to get Kyle Zimmer to keep Brad happy.
Re: General Discussion
11830They usually know what they're doing with these trades, but after reading that the Indians were making excessive demands I assumed they meant quality rather than quantity. The three minor leaguers rate as no. 6 no 7 and no 11 on the Padres' list. Big deal. But maybe some of these guys will surprise as much as Clev did after we got him for Pestano
Re: General Discussion
11831Now that we've added Hedges and Quantrill, perhaps we can deal Sandy Leon and Cimber for Clint Frazier. I'll always ready to add a pair of Logan Allens in any deal.

11832Yes, #6, 7 and 11 on perhaps the top organization for prospects in MLB.civ ollilavad wrote:They usually know what they're doing with these trades, but after reading that the Indians were making excessive demands I assumed they meant quality rather than quantity. The prospects guy on MLB Network said their prospect pool is so good that they STILL will be in the top 10 after the deal.

Brian Cashman would:
1. Hang up the phone
2. Die laughing (after a short period of cursing)

Re: General Discussion
11834Interesting that Brian Cashman did absolutely nothing at the deadline. Yankees need starting pitching [even Cole with his $zilliion deal is not doing very well]. Yankees could do with a new medical staff too, it seems; either that or Stanton and Judge are just big, muscular and physically wrecks.
Re: General Discussion
11835Oh yeah, I have Yankees fan friends who are completely frustrated that they didn't add pitching at all.
And their lineup is a physical wreck too.
