Charlotte is getting rain this morning, pretty steady but not torrential for now. We are expecting early tomorrow morning to get the worst of it. I live downtown, near the best Minor League Stadium in the country, and all the electric grid downtown is underground, we are pretty secure. I live in a brick mid-rise building, and other than having to take things off my balcony, we are secure. If anyone remembers Daddy Wags, he lives in a suburban (upscale) area with a lot of trees around. Thanks for asking!!!!!

Falling trees and lack of power are the major concerns for everyone living away from the coast. As UD said the next couple of days will be tough for the areas west and north of the coast.

Some of those areas like New Bern are going to get hit again by flooding when the rivers west of them head back to the ocean with the rainfall.

Water damage will continue to happen in most areas until Wednesday or Thursday.

My son and daughter in law live about a mile from the ocean in Myrtle Beach. They have been in Greensboro since Monday night.
