Hard to figure any Tribe interest in Asdrubal unless they just like guys named Cabrera.

well before my time but Lou Boudreau and Nap Lajoie would be a nice double play combo, but we don't really need a 101-year-old SS. I think Nap could be an improvement on Kipnis despite his age.

They weren't aware of it at the time, but I see that Boudreau had the highest single season WAR in history last time we won the Series in 1948. When you add in the fact that he was the Manager, that's quite an individual achievement!

Al Rosen in 1953 ranks second.. All the other Top 10 WAR were from the 20s and before by Lajoie [3], Speaker [3], Joe Jackson and Terry Turner.

Johnny McDonald worked for the Indians last year as a roving infield coach. Not sure if he is still with us or not. Haven't heard his name in a while.

He was on the radio broadcast this year, I think, when Hamilton was off, in spring training perhaps.

I think in June, Hammy took some time off, and they had some guest announcers. One of them was McDonald.
