Someday, perhaps, enough of our talented pitchers, i.e. Bauer and Salazar and Clevinger, will pitch up to their abilities that we can forego Tomlin, who's always going to allow plenty of homers. But those guys are just as generous with longballs as Josh this season.

to date, Bauer's surrendered 12, in 68 innings;
Salazar 11 in 55;
Tomlin 11 in 71;
Carrasco 8 in 75;
Kluber 7 in 56
Clevinger 5 in 33

None of those is especially good

I think Crockett knew he had one day, with Clevinger returning tomorrow. Sure made the most of it.

Yes, I hope Gonzalez is impressing some prospective trade partners. I'd trade anyone in the minors other than Mc and Mej but not sure if anyone else will get us a lot in return. Packaging Gonz will certainly help.

I see Lindor is in lead off spot tonight, and leads off with a hit. Maybe this will give them a spark.
I guess my attendance at today's game was the spark? My record goes to 3-1.
Anyone want to fund me for a trip to MN and Baltimore?

Good job JR.....
I think the spark was dropping Santana and moving Ramirez up 3 slots. Second best hitter on the team batting 6th is wrong. When Brantley returns move Ramirez up to second. Try Lindor, Ramirez, and Brantley at 1,2 and 3 and let's see what happens.

I like Lindor at lead off. I hope they leave him there after Kip comes back. I think I like Lindor, Jose and Brantley in the top 3. Leave EE at clean up. Then bat Santana and Kip 5th and 6th in whatever order.

Hate to say it but I think the free agent year is affecting Santana. He's not himself in the box. Like Civ mentioned, he isn't being patient or walking. He's being too aggressive, swinging at crap he never used to.

He wrote that article when the season started about how much he loved Cleveland and wanted to stay. It might be bothering him that they didn't sign him. I dunno, just spitballin'.

Tito needs to quit sitting on his hands and try different things instead of just doing same crap hoping for different results. He changed things up today and, boom.

I'd also like to see front office pull off a trade for a dependable starter. Doesn't have to be a stud, but a good innings eater. Tomlin, Clevinger, Bauer, and Salazar are all so up and down. It is killing our pen.

I really think Gonzalez, Yandy, and a couple young arms (not named McKenzie) could net us a quality starter. Having a lefty in the rotation wouldn't be so bad either. (Quintana?)

I had a District ticket (SRO) but found a good seat on the first base side, beneath the overhang of the club seats. Had to move a couple times, when some ticket holders arrived quite late. Watched the last couple innings from the 3B side, b/c it was closer to the exit I wanted to use.
