The team is snake bitten. The only real strength of the team, the bullpen, just went south. When things are going bad, nothing works.

That play was nowhere in the neighborhood. Gonzalez was waaaay off the bag. The timing between Lindor and Gonzalez was waaaaay off. It almost appeared that Gonzalez was expecting a hard toss and not a flip messing up the timing completely.

Maybe it's time to trade away some of these overpaid non-performers for some prospects that WANT to play??
Yankees may need some help to hold off the RedSox. They could use another stud in the bullpen and have plenty of top grade minor league talent. I see a perfect match there.

In 1997 we were 33-29 at this point. Wasn't until Thome's birthday in August when his teammates all pulled their socks up that the team made a run and went to 7th game of world series. I'm nowhere near ready to give up the ship. We just need a spark of some kind. Something to get this team going.

I see Lindor is in lead off spot tonight, and leads off with a hit. Maybe this will give them a spark.
