I dunno about that, Lou. Zimmer is only hitting 270 in Columbus and what's more he is striking out at an alarming rate. Like one every 3 at bats. 37 K in 110 AB

Naquin was hitting good there before he hurt his back. Might give him another shot.

True but I want a CF that can go get the ball, and anything above .250 would be an improvement.

Zimmer is never going to hit for great average I don't think, but he does have power, he can steal bases, he's fair at drawing walks. Might become an everyday player, but might just be another fair-to-middling OF which we are collecting in quantity.

Just another puzzle piece but they could give Richie Shaffer some time too. I posted his stats in MinorMatters. 277/395/561, but lots of strikeouts. RH hitter. Not on the 40 man roster.
