They raised our expectations after last season. Most of us predicted 95 or more wins, which is a .586 clip. Joe predicted 97. Right now they are .548, which projects to 89 wins. So there is room for improvement. Last year I had a feeling early on that it would be a "special" season for us. Haven't felt that yet so far.

Really, J.R.?

On this date, May 9th, of last year we were 15-14.

Today we are 17-14.

(we had more rainouts early last year)

We are mathematically eliminated from winning 150 but I am not down on this team yet. Our lineup has not started to hit and I can't imagine our starting rotation being any worse than it has been, yet we are in 1st place in our division by a game.

I mentioned last month that under Tito this team has always started slow. I asked if anyone had an opinion as to why, like something he is doing with the team in spring training. Nobody said anything. It has me perplexed too.

So for now I am just going to assume it is because we have a bunch of Latino players, and their bats and arms will heat up with the weather, like they always do since Tito has been here.

We just need to keep winning series. I think we won 5 out of last 6 series. Only one we lost being Tigers, and the last game was rained out.

We will have some good and bad streaks along the way, but once this team gets going it will be more good than bad.

But for now, the team is scuffling, yet still winning series'. I'll take it for now.

We want to see these bats get going soon. And once they do some poor teams are going to have hell to pay. We are going to have some double digit runs scored soon. Got some guys all slumping at same time. Hopefully they all bust out at same time, some time soon..

Oops! I confused the streak with the extra innings game. Think I corrected someone on that last year?

If we can win 15 games every month, that works out to 90. Will it be enough to make the post season?

I agree that right now our biggest need is to SCORE MORE RUNS!

I hate this lineup Tito keeps trotting out every day. I hated it when he moved Santana to lead off last year but it worked so no need to complain. But this year, not so much...

Personally I would like either Frankie or Kipnis leading off.

But would prefer Lindor, Jose, and Brantley in the top 3. Our 3 best hitters. Then EE followed by Santana and Kipnis in the middle.

Even though he has been slumping EE has drawn a lot of walks. Pitchers aren't giving him much to hit. Put Santana behind him that would change. Now would be a good time cause EE is showing signs of life.

Out here in Montana I can watch the Indians broadcast on STO as long as it's on there even when they are on a national broadcast, like FS1 or ESPN.

It is totally different for NBA and NHL on their package on DirecTV. If the Cavaliers are playing on ESPN, TNT, or NBA Channel I cannot watch game on Fox Sports Ohio. They make me watch the national broadcast. If the Blue Jackets are playing on NBC, NBC Sports, or NHL Channel I have to watch that broadcast too. They will not let me watch on Fox Sports Ohio.

But baseball is different. If Indians are on ESPN, FS1, or MLB channel I can still watch it on STO. It is different on Saturdays. If Fox chooses the Indians as one of their games of the week that they might broadcast then the game is not on STO here. I have to watch on FS1, if it is even broadcast. Some times the Indians game is not the first choice but a back up choice. The game is not on FS1, but it is not on STO either. Then I am screwed. (they show games from your region usually, so I am stuck watch a game from a team out west here)

If the Indians are playing the Mariners I have to watch game on Seattle sports network, Root. Because Seattle is the local team and Root is the local sports network.
