Last season, I didn't watch a single ball game or checked box scores until late in the season when it looked like they might be headed to the playoffs. I followed the team down the stretch and into the playoffs. This year, I've watched every game so far and I appear to be on my way to contracting a serious ulcer.

Some seriously good advice Seagull. I will be abstaining from the Twins series and see how it goes by next weekend.

I wonder if some of our guys might want to check out Avisail Garcia's approach to hitting. Short bat and hitting close to .500 on the year. His 2-run homer today brought the Twins down. The homer was his second on the season even with the short bat. His short, quick swing works for him. He had 16 hits going into today's game. He went 4-5 today. 20 hits 2nd in the league. 1.185 ops good for 4th in the league. Anyone who watched the sox series will know how effective Garcia was.

I didn't watch the game and we win. Looks like I'm putting the whammy on these guys. I think it would be a good idea if I miss the next few days after reviewing the pitching match ups.

Starting Pitchers
Game 1 (4/17, 8:10 p.m. ET): RHP Danny Salazar (0-1, 4.63) vs. RHP Kyle Gibson (0-1, 8.00)
Game 2 (4/18, 8:10 p.m. ET): RHP Josh Tomlin (0-2, 18.47) vs. RHP Phil Hughes (2-0, 3.86)
Game 3 (4/19, 8:10 p.m. ET): RHP Trevor Bauer (0-2, 8.44) vs. LHP Adalberto Mejia (0-1, 4.05)
Game 4 (4/20, 1:10 p.m. ET): RHP Corey Kluber (1-1, 6.38) vs. RHP Ervin Santana (3-0, 0.41)

It looks like we have an up hill battle ahead.

The next three games could be in jeopardy if we don't get a couple of quality starts and some timely hits. Not much margins for error. The Kluber vs Santana match up is one that I don't plan on missing, so, 3-0 would be just awesome heading into that fourth game.

Thanks for not watching, JOE! :D

Tomlin had a good night, as did most of our hitters. Even EE hit one out!

Good job by Tomlin. I thought he might be suspect but he came through. The offense appears to be coming around and at a good time. I think we have a good opportunity here. I like Bauer's chances of winning tomorrow provided they can get the game in. Possibility of that one getting washed out. I mentioned that there was no way I would MISS the Kluber vs Santana match up. Well! That was prior to learning that the game was a get away day game. Gotta work!
