I'd say the Chisenhall experiment is over. When Kipnis comes back and Ramirez moves back to third, I would seriously consider Diaz play center field.

Nice job by Martinez. The hitters looked like our guys looked the past five ball games.

Encarnacion just can't square up the base ball. He's the poster child for futility..

Until he learns how to beat the shift, Santana will be lucky to stay above the (.200) mark. His average keeps falling. The average is down to (.205). Maybe it about time to consider dropping Encarnacion and Santana to a lower spot in the lineup. They are killing us right now. I would switch Diaz and Encarnacion. Diaz is stroking the ball well.

Was last year just a fluke?
No. The top 3 pitchers are doing well. Tomlin's success is always dependent on him being just perfect since he doesn't overwhelm anyone. We have Clevinger off to a great start in Columbus to take over for Josh whenever they decide the time is ripe.
Back of the bullpen is still outstanding.
Offense is less a sure thing, but no reason to assume EE won't start hitting sooner or later. Brantley will settle in. Ramirez might not do as well as last year, he did more than we expected, but he'll be solid. Kipnis will be back. Yandy gives us some more OF depth. Less speed without Davis is unfortunate, the basestealing was a strength but Kipnis will pep that up too. Catchers cannot hit; we knew that; Frankie Mejia is still 1.5 years off.

Where was Lindor on the infield single? Playing up the middle? 1-0. Should have been out of the inning. How many times have I said that this year?
