I hope that's b/c he is trying too hard, b/c of his huge contract. That's not the guy we expected when we signed him!
I'm watching a replay of the game paying special attention to Encarnacion. He's definitely a pull hitter. That last at bat with the bases loaded and one out, Encarnacion had FOUR perfect pitches to hit to right field. He pulled two pitches weakly to third in foul territory. The third he hit to Frazier for the double play. In total, Encarnacion had eight perfect pitches to hit to right field. The results were two strikeouts and two bases loaded double plays.

Avisail Garcia looks like he's using a whiffle ball bat. Hawk said the short bat improved his bat speed. Must be working. He's hitting close to .500 on the year.

Almost have to feel sorry for Encarnacion. He's in a real funk.

The offense is really struggling especially in the clutch hit department. Don't look now but Holland has a no-no going.

End of 5 still looking for our first hit. Three lead off walks so far, all stranded at first base. That's when you know things aren't going well.

Strikes out the side! 11th strikeout. Too bad we can't support him with a couple of runs.
