Re: General Discussion
7144After Kluber and the Pen wrap things up tonight, we'll be jumping into the offseason about a month behind our normal schedule. It's obvious that our key winter goals will be solidifying the outfield, trying to re-sign Napoli, and figuring out a way for Carrasco to stay harm-free.
Re: General Discussion
7145My first thought is that the unexpected postseason bounty just might bring back Nap on a 2-3 year deal.

Re: General Discussion
7146Not my idea with Napoli. 1 year at a reasonable price. but not more. do not another Swisher contract.
Re: General Discussion
7147I don't think the Tribe ever considered bringing back Napoli after this years stats. No way he goes under 10 million like this year.
Re: General Discussion
7148Nap had an awesome year and virtually vanished in the playoffs.
Pretty sure there are other guys out there that can hit 25-30 Homeruns and some decent (80+) RBI #'s with Kip and Lindor in front of him.
Love the guy but I went from being excited to see him come up to looking to see if he's gonna be the last out of the inning or who's coming up after he gets his 4 pitch strikeout/line out.

Re: General Discussion
7149I hope Napoli hits 3 homers tonight and makes a shit ton this offseason!
Re: General Discussion
7150I would hate to unfollow his GF on Instagram.

Re: General Discussion
7151Unfortunately Napoli had his typical game. 0-5 with 3 K.
I think he finished 4-24 for the series with 12 K.
That's better than I expected. But obviously less than I hoped for.
Whoever signs him long term are out of their minds.

Re: General Discussion
7152Nap's a known streak hitter, too bad the cold streak came at the very end. Another good guy so he was a great part of the mix. One year deal at most for him. Or turn elsewhere. How about Lucroy to play 1st base?
Re: General Discussion
7154infield is top notch. OF is not. Brantley in LF helps a lot. Yandy either moves Ramirez back to the OF, or takes at least the right hand half of an OF platoon. Naquin had six great weeks, but his bat disappeared and his defense is not good enough. Chisenhall is decent, no more. Zimmer is not ready. Guyer is a nice platoon player. I'd take Davis again although preference is to have more than 1 everyday OF rather than platoon everywhere.
Re: General Discussion
7155I was listening to The Really Big Show from Cleveland this morning for a little bit and I guess there were a lot of ticked off Tribe fans on social media last night.
I really don't know how anybody can be ticked off with this team or manager. Sure, we're all a little sad and disappointed. You get this far you want to finish it. And yeah, maybe there was a couple things some people would have did differently than Tito. But this team surpassed all our expectations. It was an extremely fun season to watch. This is why I get the Extra Innings package every year, hoping for a fun summer like this one. And it was a classic World Series.
Speaking of which, only two teams have ever lost a World Series game 7 in extra innings, and we are both.
We have a window the next few years. Maybe, hopefully, we can actually finish the job.
But I am extremely proud of this team and the organization this year. And thankful for many hours of enjoyment. One of the few times in recent years I got my money's worth...
