Andrew Miller may have won the MVP trophy but this team was loaded with MVP's during these two series.

A big plus to putting this series away in 5 games..........the bullpen gets some much needed R & R.

Although he hasn't hit much, Roberto Perez called some magnificent games. He had a game plan and the pitchers executed. Couldn't ask for any more than that. His defensive skills were exemplary in these two series. I have a new found respect for Roberto Perez.

The only downer for me during this series was that my man, Jose, had such a dismal offensive series. He could probably need a few days off to get back on track.

Watching the post game show......Pedro thinks that Salazar might be ready to pitch in the series.

Yes it was. Saw your post about Jose Ramirez. It soooo does not matter. This is a team in every sense of the word. A bunch of no name guys led by future Hall of Fame leader. Who knows how to use his personnel, but on and off the field.

Jose will be a hero when it's his turn.

Oh, and Andrew Miller is one guy who psyches out the other team - even when he isn't even in the game!!

They knew.

And they knew he now pitches lengthy stints in the postseason. It was over - and the Jays knew it.

And he leads the team in their selfless roles.

Wow, on a postgame interview with MLB Network Lindor waxed on and on about how much Brantley has helped him HIT this year.

Said he went over what to look for and how to act before the game today.

He even said that if you replay tape, you'll see him look at Brantley repeatedly during his at bats.

OK, now THAT'S a team. Even non players contribute, in this case in a major way with a young star player

Just finished watching the post game shows on TBS, MLB Network, and Sportstime Ohio. The thing that probably sticks with me the most is, I saw Merritt, Miller, and Allen all interviewed, and all three of them praised Perez for his work behind the plate.

Merritt never shook him off one time today. He just threw what he called. Roberto said he told him he had a good game plan against that Blue Jay team. Yeah, I'd say so. Perez isn't getting enough credit.

Can you imagine what might have happened if Tito had been our manager during the "glory days" of the 90s and early 2000s?

Or in 2007, instead of with the team we lost to?
