unlikely to score often but I'm very hopeful they score early, giving Merritt a bit of a cushion. Not optimistic about today but feel good about the series.

can't remember the rule about replacing an injured player during the course of a series; I think they have to keep him out of the next series, too, so doubtful Bauer is replaced until next week, unless perhaps he can pitch next week?

I really like Merrit! Tribe ahead 1-0 end of 2.

can I go back and amend my preseason prediction? I was pretty obvious in hindsight, as long as:

Brantley plays no more than 11 games
Carrasco misses about 1/2 the season
Salazar misses the last month
Indians make one of those dreaded deadline day deals with the Yankees.

How could we have failed?

Now would be a good time to trade for a starting pitcher.

I have no idea how they fit together a rotation for the World Series. I guess Merritt has earned another start!

I've been working quite a bit of overtime since I left the library and today was no exception. I just got home. Heard the win on the radio on my commute home. I was looking forward to watching the....excited to get home and watch the game. Taped it. I dropped my butt in the easy chair, watched the pre-game show, and guess what???? The freakn' recorder turned itself off before the game started.
