Now Allen has to make a 5 out save.....which is harder now that Ortiz got a double and is the tying run is on 2nd with 2 outs to go.

Wonder who's gonna close it out if Allen doesn't get out of the inning.

Indians' bullpen prepared for any scenario

Led by Miller, relievers can deliver in short stints and go multiple innings

I've been down on our catching staff, but I have to admit that Perez had one of the best games I've ever seen by ANY catcher at ANY time much less in a playoff or series game. AWESOME performance!!!

Andrew Benintendi and Roberto Perez made history with homers in their first postseason ABs

On the topic of Roberto Perez.

Look, us Tribe followers DO know the guy is an amazing defensive catcher. And we do remember last season he showed homerun pop at times.

Yan Gomes, as well, is a really good defensive catcher.

So, in retrospect, I think it's legitimate that Lucroy thought he might be switched to another position. The guy can hit, and certainly could have found himself at 1B or wherever next season.

Lucroy certainly should know that catcher is a defensive position and the Indians had 2 very good defenders there. The Indians have scored very well this year, but the real core of this team is the pitching. And they like Perez and Gomes.

Now, as for him wanting that guarantee, that's bogus. There is no way Tito could ever agree to something like that. He loves having options and moving guys around.

Now Perez is having a great series, and Lucroy could very well be heading home very soon. Stranger than fiction.
