It's not pessimism it's pragmatic. I don't think we can't not win. I just look at all the factors surrounding our inevitable playoff appearance and wonder if we have the tools to beat the teams we haven't been able to beat in the regular season.

Not like I don't wear my Tribe hat every day and my Party at Napolis or Kipnis for President shirt as much as my wife will let me between washes, or watch Every Single Game since well before the season started.

I am going to take my kids out of school, and take off work to go to a playoff game. I just hope to god they win.

Another playoff season is near at hand and as in the past we fail to make the necessary moves to improve the offense.

Miller was a nice addition, maybe we can move him back into a starting job (to replace Carrasco) like the Cubs have done with Montgomery.

So the Cleveland Indians are 4th in the major leagues (all the majors, not the AL) in runs scored. 4th out of 30.

So complaining about the offense is completely, totally ignoring what this team has done over the course of the year. You may not like the names, but so what? Bottom line is that this team got the job done. Really, really well.

Right now their only, only problem is Salazar and Carrasco. Period.

This offense won't be seeing any 4th and 5th starting pitchers. We'll be facing the best the opposition has to offer.

No Almonte who has been instrumental in the success we've had on offense this season. In fact, he's still in the lineup and playing today. If Francona doesn't want to replace Almonte now for this playoff push, who's Francona going to replace him with come post season? Shouldn't that person be getting some quality time in today and to the completion of the season?

We enter minus Salazar and Carrasco. Inconsistency has been Bauer's calling card. I don't think I would like to see Tomlin as our #2 to start the playoffs.

Yeah! I have my concerns for the offense, especially under these conditions.

Long time Tribe writer Paul Hoynes gets attention of club.
Hoynes wrote on Cleveland.com that the Tribe post season dreams of advancing past a round ended on September 17 when stud pitcher Carlos Carrasco was injured and finished for the season. Indians manager, coaches, and players responded by saying if that is the way you feel then stay away from the park and report on us from your home.

The longtime Plain Dealer scribe was commenting on the spate of injuries to hit the team in the past two weeks. Since September 9, they’ve lost Danny Salazar and Yan Gomes. Saturday, pitcher Carlos Carrasco was knocked out after throwing just two pitches.

Over reaction on Hoynes part? Perhaps. But, you’ve got a team gunning to finished with its best record this side of the Willennium…why so sour?
