I'd like to take a chance on Kurt Suzuki. At least he can get a hit in every four at bats.

Me and J.R. brought us home a win last night. Good seeing him again, and I like what they've done to the ball park.

I asked around about the District area and couldn't get a lot of info, so just in case any of you guys are wondering for the future ....

The District area is pretty cool. Especially if you're going to the game with a group. Everyone can stand around together and talk while watching the game, instead of sitting in a row and trying to talk to someone 4 seats down.

Plenty of food choices and places to buy beverages are right there handy bunched together in the Corner.

I must admit, if I am going to a game by myself or with one other person I probably wouldn't choose The District again. On a crowded game like last night all the patio chairs and bar stools got swooped up early so you're standing the entire time.

But if I'm going with a group, or to a game that isn't expected to be very crowded, it is a neat experience for a game.

We're not going to pick up a catcher with 2 weeks to go who doesn't know our pitching staff. Roberto Perez is OPSing 650 or so over his last 30 games and has a good arm. Don't know how well he calls a game. I can live with him.

Offensively his 2016 totals will be much more impressive than Gomes; Perez's 1-30 or whatever start was at least in part due to having cut his rehab short when Gomes went on the DL.

Nice job guys, that was a great game to witness.....How many times did they have to show Napoli's double on the scoreboard? I had to watch it at least 3 times till I saw the ball hit behind him.

Are you going to todays game if it isn't rained out?

OK, it's pretty mind boggling to me that so many things could go wrong to one player in a season. The odds against what happened to him have to be astronomical.

And you too Cookie:

Carlos Carrasco - S - Indians

Carlos Carrasco's X-rays revealed a fracture of the fifth metacarpal bone in his right hand.

Carrasco was lifted from Saturday's game after Ian Kinsler smashed a line drive off his hand on only his second pitch of the afternoon. The injury is identical to the one that has sidelined Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos since early August. Assuming his timeline is similar, it doesn't look Carrasco will be available again this year unless the Indians make a deep playoff run. It's a devastating loss for the Tribe.
