2 points I guess those 2 guys werent gritty enough for us nor did they play the game the right way

Also seems to suggest that you need a big rear end to be good at pitching for a long time.

Catchers not quite the dead zone they've been all season.

August and early Sept totals for PereZ and GimineZ

101-13-21-13 7 doubles, 4 homers 12 walks, 28 strikeouts 209/292/396

Just a reminder: Gomes before we went down, for the first half of July was at 054/079./081.
Maybe his couple weeks DHing will give him a chance to concentrate on his offense so he can back to his 2014 form, or at last 2015, when he returns for the stretch run.

Both teams control their own destinies!!! 4 games in Detroit and 3 games in Cleveland.

Unfortunately, the Tribe doesn't have a good track record when it controls its own destiny. Nor does it have a good track record when it does not control it's own destiny.

This has been a very up and down season. Every time they pull a Whodini like they did against shitty teams like Miami, it creates a bigger let down when they don't do it against better teams like Huston, and makes me worry about every other possible playoff team. Especially the Tigers.

I'm glad they are already selling Sam Adams Octoberfest.
