LOL
HB.
Tell you what though, the guy can really pick it around 1B, and that's something we never have.
I think ideally he is the 1B, and you have a DH that's MORE than Santana. But hey, it's all working.
In reference to
seagull's comment about their confidence, I personally think it's two things:
1. The starting pitching. OK, last night you have Salazar going, against Norris. Mismatch. And tonight, you have Carrasco going against a continually sucking Anibel Sanchez (by the way who is paid FARRR more than Carrasco). Without jinxing them, this is another SP mismatch.
2. Team "chemistry" - To me it's a combination of things. Kipnis maturing. Lindor maturing. Even Chisenhall maturing. Of course Bauer maturing (and certainly could add Salazar). These are young guys hitting their prime years. (Not Lindor, he's a freak) And I personally don't think it's a coincidence that the veteran RH bats (ok, Uribe excluded) arrived as these guys were maturing and have helped point the way. Can't forget Tito either, EVER!
You have to call this smart management which has opened the beginning of a new window of opportunity for this franchise. Young guys maturing (and signed reasonably) with older playoff tested vets adding swagger.
