OK, that avoids the Passport problem. It still means a sacrifice game, but that's OK; we don't need to win them all. And we have plenty of relievers who are hardly overworked. If I had a preference and there were someone available I'd rather get 5 innings from a minor leaguer and send him back home tomorrow than pile up pitches on Zach and Hunter and Joba and Manship and Gorzelanny -- but then again there are a lot of them to share to work. And if it goes xtra innings we can use Giminez.

It's official. McCallister is getting the start today.

They did call up Morimando (sp?) and DFA'd Michael Martinez. So they have a long arm if needed in a pinch.

I wouldn't push McCallister too hard after he pitched yesterday. Maybe 3 innings tops. Then just go to the arm an inning thing like we did yesterday. Those guys are plenty rested after the work the starters have done recently.

McAllister was in and out pretty quick, with a 3 run homer on his tab. Manship worked the 2nd, and Morimando debuting in the 3rd: his fastballs are being listed at between 81 and 89 mph, which doesn't overwhelm. but he avoided damage after two one-out singles.

We're behind only by 1 run after 3, so anything's possible. .

So Santana can't scoop that throw then Tulo hits a 2 run homer.

How important is defense! And it's why Napoli is the regular 1st basman. (He sccops that, just sayin)

It's not that I'm not a fan of Napoli. I don't hate him. I just wouldn't play him against righties. I'd love to platoon him with Santana.

You can put any righty on the mound and Naps strikes out. Don't matter if it's a pitcher or an infielder.

Bases loaded with 1 out.

C'mon, Lonnie.

Ugh, he K's too.

Up to Uribe.... egads
