I don't think even you would have expected him to be used in the 5 role in the batting order! Or to be the Indians' most-days left fielder. He's been a very nice addition.

In fact we could find ourselves with a team full of shortstops in a few years, with Eric Gonzalez, Yu-Chiang Chang and Willi Castro all very promising talents who could wind up at 2nd, or 3rd, or left, or right fields. That's a lot better than having to try to convert a catcher to a 3rd baseman or a 1st baseman to an outfielder.

Not at #5 Civ but certainly #1,#2, or #9.

How about signing a free agent like Todd Frazier instead of making conversions  Todd hit #17 today (38) rbis. Not too shabby for a free agent. All it would have cost was some cash. Maybe we could have signed him for one year deal ???

The forgotten man during this run has been Jose. He's been putting up some nasty numbers so far. Can he keep it up for an entire season? Lindor's been getting all the press but Jose has been hanging in there with better numbers.

Maybe! Just a quick check, Jose has the better walks to strikeouts ratio, leads in average, slugging, obp, and ops. Gotta admit he has been a pleasant surprise.

Defensively, only 1 error. Don't know if it was playing third or left field. I think he misplayed a ball off the wall.
