I still dont like that Chiz, way too often, swings at balls out of the strike zone an misses or fouls them a lot-then takes a pitch down the middle for a called 3rd strike. I was on his side when he hit line drives to all fields and once in awhile pulled a long ball to RF. But lately NADA of that stuff.

I think Clevinger is generally rated a better long-term prospect. Merritt is one of those little lefties who seems to thrive due to his confidence, quick work and command; so many of that type have failed it's hard for me to expect a lot, but for every handful of Sowers and Laffey and Huff there's going to be an occasional success.

Nice article on Jose.

Followed his winter ball efforts the past few seasons where he rapidly became my most favorite Indian ball player. I'm really happy to see him doing so well. I really expected him to take off well from the start last season. Gotta admit it was disappointing for me. Perhaps he can keep it up for the 2016 season.

At this point, it appears he is leading the tean in obp and ops. He has also walked more times than he has struckout....16 walks and 15 strikeouts. Looks like he leads the team in doubles with 11. Not too shabby so far.
