I missed game 2 due to Cavs game but damn, looks like Anderson was on.

Clevinger made two big mistakes the first game, leaving a fastball over meat of the plate twice, and it was hammered both times. Lawrie's was the 3 run shot.

Shaw and Allen both been great this month. 20 innings for those two. 8 hits, 2 ER, 22 K.

Game's not over yet, and this was apparently on the web an hour ago:

"Sale has had blips on his radar on the past, and this outing appeared to be nothing more than that. On the down side, the Sox have come to expect victory on days Sale pitches, and this loss dropped them 27-20 while the Indians (24-20) drew even in the loss column with the AL Central leaders who have lost eight of 11 and 10 of the last 14."

As usual, the unpredictable happening.

Team now 5 games over .500 and pretty much done without Brantley and Carrasco. Go figure.

I will say this though, Lindor is a huge part of this team now. He is the stud, and if you go back to last year they started playing well shortly after he came up.

He sits out yesterday, no problem. Jose Ramirez been a huge part of this team this year.

I know there's this stat they follow now of "batting average for balls in play" but don't know its significance: For example: with Napoli striking out for more than half his outs his batting average for all other ABs is about 400. So is that supposed to mean he's been lucky or good?
