You probably all knew it already, but Tito and I forgot about him. Ortiz was in the ballpark. He's named Dan Otero and he's actually pitched 3 times this season and has not allowed a run. Twice against the Mets while I was out of town so that's my excuse for not knowing his name.

I'm much better at naming the 1968 bullpen including surprises on the roster Billy Rohr, Tom Gramley and Bud Kurtz. [of course that might actually be 1967 or so, and perhaps not all on the opening day roster but I think so]

Gaylord - I think we may be seeing a different animal this year. The differences:

1. Lindor. OK, he came up last year and the team played better in the 2nd half. We've seen 2nd half surges before, fool's gold, but this time it may be different. The reason it's different? Lindor - he is legit.

2. The brass got smart and figured out they needed defense surrounding their prize starting pitchers. Napoli huge defensive upgrade at 1B, Santana stunk. Uribe huge upgrade at 3B, shit they had Chisenhall in there last year in the first half. Naquin - VERY nice defensive outfielder. Gomes back, and hopefully staying back. And last, Lindor! Just wow defensively.

3. Much more RH bats to counter opposing teams constantly throwing lefties.

All this - and no Brantley yet - their best player. And another defensive stud.

I watched the Detroit feed the last 2 games. Their announcers were saying that all the hype about the Tribe starters was just hype as Tribe was 6-7 and giving up
runs. So we 3 hit them and 2 hit them and they scored all of 2 runs against our staff. Lets see what they say tomorrow.
