Quick 5-0 lead!
A couple things different about this year's Tribe were highlighted early.
First, they actually have quite a bit of team speed this year. Imagine that, they've been slow as turtles the last few years.
Jose Ramirez, Rajai Davis can burn (Davis just hit a triple). Add in Lindor and you really have 3 legit speedsters. And Kipnis is no turtle.
The other thing is that they have veteran, legit right handed bats. A Gomes/Santana recovery is important on this count. Lindor as well a switch hitter.
And obviously it's early but I like the Uribe/Byrd/Napoli(who just made a great scoop) additions. Quality people and still have life in them. And minimum commitment/investments.
Antonetti waited out the market for Uribe and Byrd and cherry picked a couple winners late in the winner. IMO of course.
They scored a lot in Arizona (means little) but now are keeping it going. Obviously their first game (David Price) can be forgiven.
