Tommy Hunter - R - Indians

Indians signed RHP Tommy Hunter to a one-year, $2 million contract.

Hunter's ERA was up last season at 4.18, but he had a sub-3.00 mark each of the previous two campaigns after a full-time move to the bullpen. The 29-year-old is recovering from core muscle surgery but should be ready to go by the time Opening Day rolls around.

For those who want to look at the numbers. This guy has a power arm, recently moved to bullpen.

The millions keep adding up. Maybe the front office should place that money in a cookie jar and see if they can come up with a legitimate, power hitting, corner outfielder.

I'm actually quite curious to see how Chisenhall does this season, we all know he did miuch better in the outfield than he had been doing.

Wonder if the head game of sucking at 3B got into his confidence. I remember Starlin Castro for the Cubs tearing it up after he moved off SS, where he was an error machine.

Perhaps a better example of this was from our division rival KC. Alex Gordon. Remember when he was a bust at 3B? Yes, true!

Moved to LF he played really good defense, and then started hitting. The similarities are actually quite interesting.

Today is the day we’ve been waiting for since the 2015 season ended.
#TribeSpring is upon us, everyone.

Today, it began. Pitchers and catchers officially reported to Goodyear, Arizona today, thus beginning the start of Indians Spring Training. Though it was technically only report day for pitchers and catchers, eager and excited to get a start – most of the whole squad showed up to practice today at Goodyear Ballpark.

We’re excited for 2016, and as apparent by their early report – as are our guys!

I ask this every year. Couldnt Dolan save some money by just forgetting about spring training. Maybe the guys could get together in a gym somwhere and play some catch. They could do some jumping jacks and maybe a push up or 2 and just be ready for the season. NEOMG could save money because they wouldnt have to sell the advertisement space for the annual story of the equipment truck leaving. Moreover Hoynseee wouldnt have to spend 6 weeks at La Quinta.
