McKenzie was not one of the injured guys we drafted. I dunno why he hasn't pitched yet.

Glad to see I gave Frazier the ole kiss of life. I might have to consider adding him back to my prospect list.

Hentges could end up being scary after he puts it all together consistently.

Few interesting tid bits from one of my favorite Twitter follows...

Todd Paquette @IndiansAccounts: @MLBPipeline lists the #Indians having 3rd best Draft of 2015 loading up on young pitching talent. 2014 thought of #1 by many after season.

@IndiansAccounts: AZL #Indians OF Gabriel Mejia has reached base now in 21 straight games:
32-84 22R 2(2B) 1(3B) 13RBI 11BB 22SB .381 AVG .454 OBP

@IndiansAccounts: #Hillcats OF @ClintFrazierr has reached base now in 28 straight games:
34-99 22R 7(2B) 1(3B) 3HR 12RBI 19BB 5SB .343 AVG .446 OBP #Indians

@IndiansAccounts: #Captains 1B Bobby Bradley @b_bradley_44 over his last 8 games:

That's just a little of the great stuff he tweeted out tonight. I definitely recommend him as a follow if you aren't already. He also has a good source with the Indians organization. He posts some roster move stuff before the Indians release it, and it pisses them off. Bart Swain scolded him last week for it. He sent me some of the messages. I couldn't believe it.

I asked him if he knew why McKenzie hasn't pitched yet. I'll see if he gets back to me on it.

Tuesday notes:

Mahoning Valley: Tom 2 hits, 10th steal; Mathias with another multiple hit game, 2 singles, up to 270. 1B Tapia double, homer, 2 walks. Sayles single, walk, 5th steal. Casey Shane: 4 1/3--7--4--4--1--6

Lake County: Santander double and 1st homer, 305; Allen walk. Swisher 2 walks.

Lynchburg: LRod double and single. Frazier single, double, walk, caught stealing, Paulino single and double.
Peformance of the day: Nellie Rodriguez with his first steal as a pro, in 4 seasons.

Akron:

Zimmer, 0-4 3 strikeouts.
Morminado: 5 2/3--3--1--0--3--4 Kind of typical for him, too many walks, which means he doesn't last too long, even on days when he keeps runs off the board.

Columbus:

Any of these guys ready to help? Jose Ramirez 3 hits, 2 were doubles; Chisenhall 0-3, 2 K. Walters 6th homer, 2K. Aguillr 13th homer, 2 walks. Ramsay 0-4 4 K. Gonzalez 1-4 2K. Tyler Holt had the day off: he's the one I'd prefer to promote and put in Center Field: unlike the incumbent, he can defend, he can run, he can hit a bit.

Yay! ... This is channel 221 on DirecTV.

.

The Akron RubberDucks will play their first nationally televised game Thursday, July 23, at Canal Park against the Altoona Curve. The game will air at 7:05 p.m. on CBS Sports Network’s National Game of the Week, which began nationally broadcasting minor league games last season.

“It’s certainly flattering and humbling to be selected,” RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander said. “I’m excited for Akron, because I think it’s going to be great for us to show off what a great thing we’ve got going here.”

This will also mark the first Canal Park appearance of Bradley Zimmer, the Cleveland Indians' 2014 first-round pick. The Ducks are the Class AA affiliate of the Indians.

CBS Sports Network runs a 10 regular-game series of minor league games from May through early August.

"Our partnership with CBS Sports Network has been a great way to showcase some of Minor League Baseball's premier venues across the country," said Michael Hand, Minor League Baseball CMO and president of MiLB Enterprises, in a story posted in April on MLB.com that previewed the series.
