I do feel that once Gomes and Lindor are up if they could bat at least .250, we could score a lot more
Will help the defense too. A pity Urshela is injured, he'd be helpful too.
And what do we do with the SWISH
I think WE can all think of a logical solution, but we're not the ones stuck playing his salary.

The absurd overmanager is at it again.

After McAllister takes care of business in the 8th, he is of course replaced by a different right handed pitcher to start the 9th. Logic for which I don't even try to come up with. Shaw, who is another stinker this year, proceeds to put two of the first three he faces on base.

And I'll be perfectly honest and say the fact that Shaw got out of it with a DP and no one scores does not change my opinion one bit.

Why go through two pitchers when one could have had the day off? Or could have been retained for later in a game when a replacement was actually needed? I don't get it.

Bourn in his old role of leadoff hitter, to start the ninth, stays true to himself by making the first out.

David Murphy with a pinch hit single [batting for Perez].
Zach Walters who is hitless this season in 7 tries and has struck out 5 of those times pinch hits for Ramirez.

3-2-1

Last Place Cleveland Indians runs scored in the St Louis series.

Just as the Browns continue to deny they have a QB,WR problem, the Last Place Cleveland Indians in the off season denied they had an offensive problem and refused to address it.

Pitching and defense wouldn't have to carry these moribund stiffs if they could score some freakin' runs.

I was there today. Sat right behind the plate, about 6 rows back. I was able to see that the ump did a good job of calling the balls and strikes, although one of the strikes to Swisher sure looked like a ball. But when all you do is K, I guess you don't get a break.

And yes, that home run ball was in Bourne's glove, then popped out and dropped over the fence. Tough loss for Bauer, but the Indians would have had at least a couple more runs if they knew how to run the bases :x

btw, I was there for Kenny's great catch off BJ Surhoff, and several others.

Michael Bourn loses his glove trying to get to a home run hit by the Cardinals' Matt Carpenter.

Base-running blunders: Lonnie Chisenhall was caught trying to steal home in the sixth. At least that's how it will read in the scorebook. When Michael Bourn, who was on first, started toward second base, Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina faked a throw in that direction. Chisenhall then moved toward the plate, but Molina had the ball and applied the tag to end the inning.

Bourn was also thrown out at home in the second when Jose Ramirez bunted the ball back to the pitcher.

The Indians had two on with one out in the first and second, but couldn't score. They had two aboard with two outs in the sixth, but couldn't capitalize.
