I just wonder if Moncrief could have done better. He was OK in Spring training.
Moncrief started out slowly and gradually improved in his AAA debut season. He evened out his previously widely varying avg vs LH and RH, although his outs against lefties were far more often strikeouts. Overall numbers for Carlos compared to Shuck's AAA stats while with Angels:

Moncrief 271/328/431/759 xb hits: 33-4-12 sb: 8/11 k/bb: 130/38
JBShuck 320/374/352/726 xb hits: 18-9-05 sb: 12/20 k/bb: 30/43

Different kind of hitters, one a big swinger with some power, the other hits singles, triples and doesn't strike out

More pitching records by the Tribe: Kluber first pitcher with back to back 14+ strikeout games since The Big Unit a decade ago. Last time out Carrasco matched a Sandy Koufax pitching mark. A rather amazing week of pitching by the Tribe.
Pitching staff set the major league record for strikeouts; this past month has been incredible.
