Re: GameTime!™
13412We wrote off the team numerous times last season when they looked incapable of winning and they kept turning things around. I suppose they can do the same thing again, but the combination of less than top quality starting pitching, very much less than quality hitting and rotten defense means a lot of things need to change for the better.
Re: GameTime!™
13413Until yesterday the relievers had been close to perfect in preventing inherited runners from scoring. Rzepcynzski had what I think was first failure. And then Carrasco came through in relief as effectively as he has as a starter. He won't be around long.
Re: GameTime!™
13414Too many things to fix, Civ, like the offense, defense, starting pitching, relief pitching, and a team that lost it's swagger from a year ago. I don't know if its up to the manager or Jason Giambi or both to get this train back on the track. This is a mess right now.

Re: GameTime!™
13415To me the left side of the infield has been the biggest problem if Swisher and KIpnis had played defense as well as last year we woud have 2-3 more wins and we would not appear as helpless. Kipnis seems to have lost the ability to move to his left as well as usual and Swisher is playing LL first base where last year he was smooth.

13419I'd love to see Ramirez batting #2

Re: GameTime!™
13424Hitting out of the number 3 slot is ideal for Brantley and the makeup of this Indians team. I like it. The number 3 guys is the best hitter on the team and there is no doubt that Brantley is the best hitter on the team right now. Going one step further, move Chisenhall to #2.

Re: GameTime!™
13425Swisher, Santana, and Cabrera are just killings us. The problem is, there seems to be no signs of any improvements in any of them.
I've never seen a player like Santana turn his back on so many balls right down the heart of the plate. Almost seems like me when I was in little league jumping out of the batter's box on every pitch
