I had fun at the Prog on Sunday. Lots of fans having a good time watched a good team beat a terrible one. Astros didn't seem to care much; their manager let Humber rang around way too long, not that I'm complaining.

Bourne sure takes a big swing for a leadoff man. Triple was fun to watch.
Kipnis and Brantley looked very comfortable hitting against a bad lefty.
Gomez looked terrible at the plate, but what a quick arm!
Beautiful slide by Asdrubal to score a key run.
Solid rbi double by Santana.
Swisher couldn't stop chatting with the little kid who joined him at 1B for the national anthem.
Matt Carson lost 78 points in his batting average with one at bat.
Kluber was anything but sharp; good thing he was facing Houston.
Allen sure can bring it. He should be a good candidate to close in '14.
Tito used nearly every pitcher in the pen. 6 of the 7 were successful. Lee looked good. He should move into 2014 middle relief.

And Ken, as we know is wrong. This is not a bad team. It is star-less but solid, deep and well led.

Civ- Thanks for the report. I must tell you that on Cabrera's slide it was Bourn coming over from the on deck circle who guided Asdrubal to take the outside move. He really helped and became a coach. They replayed it about 3 times on the TV. Asdrubal could not see the ball and where it was coming from since it CAME OUT OF LEFT FIELD!

They might have the worst team in baseball but the sweep was vital in keeping our playoff chances alive and well. We are in control of our own destiny now. Time to make sure the jockey straps fit.

September 23, 2013If the Indians are fortunate to make it past the Wild Card playoff game, there will be plenty of questions as to what kind of rotation the team will put out there for the American League Divisional Series. We obviously know that Jimenez would be a lock, and now there even seems as if there's a chance that Danny Salazar could be in the rotation. However, beyond that, one has to wonder who the Tribe will pick out of the bunch of Kluber, McAllister and Scott Kazmir? A month and a half ago, the answer to that question would have definitely been Kluber, but it's not a sure thing anymore.
