Ain't it Grand? Ain't it fun? It's nice to see happier days again!

Agreed! Not one of Francona's best managed games but it seems that no matter how he manages right now, things just seem to fall in place. Only two more weeks to keep that kind of karma up.

Another rookie southpaw going for Houston tonight. Another rookie southpaw that could give us fits. Brett Oberholtzer is considered the best prospect Houston got in the Michael Bourn trade.

Found this scouting report.....one that has, for a long time, dating back to Jamie Moyer, has tried our patience:

Because Obie has hit above 90 on the radar gun, there are people who are more bullish on him. But, if he cannot maintain a fastball around 90, his ceiling is much, much lower. His curve and changeup are both good pitches, but are not spectacular. They are solid pitches, which is a great description for Oberholtzer. He's a solid pitcher who presents a low ceiling but a fairly solid floor.

Oh, and he's got a bad body, but it doesn't seem like most people are concerned.

That was an outing that would give a guy heart palpitations. I wanted to turn the game off several times in that inning but did a "hang wiff'em".

I return to the Jake, oops not the Jake anymore, for the first time in I don't know how long on Sunday, at least as long as it hasn't been the Jake. Sure was easier to buy tickets than in the later 90's and early 00's.

That does not promise good things for the Tribe. I remember one season in high school when my personal record was something like 1-15.

You figure after last night, the Indian batters would have made adjustments by now. This guy is practically a replica of last night's pitcher.

They gave us the 2-1 lead. We're inching close to surrendering that lead. Two on and one out. McAllister can't find the plate.

Line drive up the middle. Base hit. Bases loaded and one out.
