I lost my feed in the 6th inning...woke up to find out we won.

At least we kept the losing streak at 6.....win a few more and this last week will be a bad dream...let's hope it doesn't come back to haunt us at the end.

Jose Ramirez (SS, Akron): 4-for-7, R, CS, E. Ramirez continues to be a singles machine at Akron this year, and he played shortstop on Saturday night in place of Francisco Lindor who is said to be with the big league team in Cleveland while he gets some planned time away from playing.

Salazar goes against a 27 year old Twins rookie LH who went 8 1/3 shutout innings in his debut last week striking out 2. Sounds like on of those young soft-tossers who tend to give the Tribe fits, but at least this will not be his first big league game. And this year's team can match up against Lefties.

Our cleanup hitter, Asdrubal Cabrera, just watched 3 pitches go by. Down on strikes. He looked miffed. When will this experiment end?

Dude, no offense.

Just an observation that you seemed more active and virile posting here when you were on active duty.

I certainly understand the comfort and peace of your family that you are not any longer on active duty and under potential fire. I am also glad you are now a well deserved stateside.

No offense taken, but as it is I am not stateside. I took a very lucrative contracting job in Afghanistan, training the Afghan National Army. Tried to find a job stateside but nobody wanted to hire a 20 year veteran for more than 50k. Didn't want to get into any of the acryonym agencies at DC, so this popped up and I took it. Third world internet is worse than 256k dial up. I wake up at 3am to listen to the games, if I can get a good enough connection.

I'm currently on vacation, sitting in a hotel room in Dubai until Thursday when I fly to Dublin and meet up with my wife for our long overdue (7+ years) honeymoon for two weeks.

I hope I didn't jinx this team. I never thought we'd ever go through a stretch like we've been through the past week and a half.

I liked this kid Deduno ever since I saw him pitch this past winter.

It's been pretty quiet on the Giambi front. What up? Run out of advice for Tito :P

It's evident that this team could use Jose Abreu. We have some decent hitters but not one that we can say scares any pitching staff.

We had the money available. Too bad we couldn't get more involved with the foreign free agents. They just keep on coming though. The cupboard isn't bare yet.

Meanwhile, Japan and Cuba are re-stocking their losses. They have a lot of good, young ballplayers that are coming along quite well.

Maybe we get active with the next round of free agents??

I don't think we've had a more consistent player than Yan Gomes this year. Perhaps Tito should give Gomes a shot at the cleanup spot!?!? Can't hurt!

We lead 5-2 after 7.

The ChiSox lead Scherzer and the Tide by a score of 3-1. That game in the top of the 6th.
