I would like to see some changes to the bullpen. Although we have auditioned various rookies, Albers and Hill and Shaw remain with us. I guess none of them has optiions remaining. Lee and /or Wood should become permanent parts of the bullpen the rest of the way. Hagadone should be in Cleveland, too

Hagadone has certainly been no more consistant than Hill, but at times he has overmatched hitters. If he were the one who were out of options he'd be around and Hill would be riding I-71. I would like Hagadone to get more opportunity this year, although that might not happen until Sept 1. In the meantime, we can use a better lefty than hill.

And...the Tigers lost! Scherzer suffered his first loss, and we move to 1.5 games out. So, the worst we can do is fall back to 2.5 games back at the All Star break. How many here expected THAT at the beginning of the season?
I was very optimistic about this team going as far back as spring training. I thought we had a chance to be this close at the break. In fact, there were only two of us that voted 86-90 wins this year. That should be good enough to get us a shot at the playoffs and a good chance at a division championship. Numerous times during the season, I expressed my opinions on why I thought so. Hopefully, we'll add a couple of new faces before the trade deadline that will make us stronger and keep us in contention the rest of the year. Personally, I'd like to see a reliable starter added to the rotation and I'd also like to see another versatile player with speed coming off the bench.

Congrats to the Cleveland Indian organization and baseball team for a successful first half of the season. Nice job, fellas!

I hate looking so far ahead, but the schedule in September looks favorable on paper.

At Tigers (1) game

Home to the O's for (3) games

Home to the Mets for (3) games

Home to the Royals for (3) games

At the White Sox for (4) games

At the Royals for (3) games

Home to the Astros for (4) games

Home to the White Sox for (2) games

At the Twins for (4) games to end the season.

(36) games within our division the rest of the way.

LOL, if Mariano was able to walk out onto the field today, he was the MVP.

It's an exhibition game anyways, no matter the so-called stakes. Watch closely and you can see that is what it is to the players.

No biggie to me. The guy is the best reliever in the history of the game (there is no close 2nd place even IMO), and a class act.
