Hey seagull---yes a REAL crap weather weekend; in addition I have been sick with a cold. On Sunday when the clouds briefly parted I could see snow on the higher mountain ridges ... WTF? It must have been even colder up there. Glad I stayed in bed.

I leave the country and the team wins. I return and they fall apart. It's my fault, I realize. Sorry I don't plan to be away for the rest of the season, but if the Forum takes up a collection and pays for a trip to perhaps Turkey or Sicily for maybe two weeks I can try to help the team get its act back together.

Those two blown saves over the weekend were disheartening. The pitching was doing so well when the bottom fell out. Time to regroup.

That was a very nice win tonight. Time to reverse the trend and get back to our winning ways.

And thus a solution is found. Francona is a certified genius. Score a shit ton of runs early, and then you don't have to worry about not have a closer and setup men.

Brilliant.

Seriously though, that may have been a mitigating factor, with us having so many come from behind wins, or just flat out pummelling the opposition, the bullpen problems could have gone largely unnoticed, until a couple games when it counted and kablammy...5 L's in a row.

Thank god Masterson is starting to come out as a legit ace to stop the streak.

and 7 runs in one inning with 2 outs helps a whole bunch.
Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

Unlike past teams, the Indians have a bunch of different ways to pick up victories these days.

Marson is re-habbing in Akron. I say Yan Gomes has to stick with the team. I don't think we have any room for Marson.

The Pirate pitching staff has been awesome. The shutout the Tigers 1-0 in 11 innings, thank you! We trail the Tide by 1/2 game despite the five game losing streak.
