Perez and Pestano left ST for the WBC and "self-regulated" their workloads. Not sayin' it had anything to do with their problems but it wouldn't be the first time a pitcher has come back from the WBC and had in-season problems.

I thought Perez didn't go to the WBC b/c of an injury?

You're right, JR. Perez hurt himself getting ready for the WBC.
