The pitcher FKA Fausto Carmona was optioned to the Gulf Coast League, which didn't solve his pitching or identity problems. I suppose he still had minor league options at the time?

Hey, I wonder if Ubalbo is not really Ubaldo, either. He and Carmona seem to have a mysteriously disappearing command of the strike zone in common.

Jimenez became only the fourth Indians starter since 1916 to give up at least seven earned runs and five walks in less than two innings pitched. He was making his first start since April 8, after the rotation was pushed back following two postponed games last week.

It's been raining here since 8 o'clock this morning. We received 1.8 inches of rain so far. It's supposed to continue through the night with heavy thunderstorms on Thursday. Another 2" is expected to fall. Checking the radar, it looks like Akron and Cleveland might be able to get their games in tonight. The front looks like it's heading out over the lake and into the Detroit area.

Well, not quite a hole but maybe into a lake in my basement. 5" of rain will do that sometimes. Giambi is a cheater and well established PED user. I don't like him and I don't like having him in Cleveland. Every blind squirrel will find an acorn every once in a while :P
