Yes, Vic, he was. This is the only Cleveland Indian I had the pleasure of meeting. However, I met him when he was with the Pirates. He was in So. Sioux City, NE at the time with another friend of mine when we were introduced. Imagine how I felt when he was traded to the Indians! I was a big fan of his from that time on.

Absolutely. The radio and Tribe TV announcers anointed Fred Whitfield as "The Yankee Killer" in gametime broadcasts while he was with us in Cleveland.

I met Duke Sims up close and personal. That was special, at that time of my life.

No doubt, Fred Whitfield trumped Duke Sims in fandom, though Duke had a flash of promise that few recall.

Neither was a Gomer Hodge.

Now that was pretty funny Seagull. Just hoping Giambi keeps the needles out of the dugout.

By my count we have 26 men on the 25 man roster. Did Rich Hill wind up not making the team? Are they still holding onto an extra reliever until Perez' status is certain? Here's the roster I think we have:

Santana, Marson, Reynolds, Swisher, Kipnis, Cabrera, Chisenhall, Aviles, Brantley, Bourn, Stubbs, Rayburn
Masterson, Jiminez, Myers, McAllister, Kazmir, Carrasco, Perez, Pestano, Smith, Allen, Shaw, Stubbs, Hagadone, Hill

Thanks Rusty.

So Carrasco is holding a place for Giambi.
And one of the relievers will go for Kazmir. Allen was one of the early ones to win a spot but had some trouble in the later going. Albers didn't pitch too well early but did better later on. Allen has options so he could be the odd man out.

What does Ken M actually have invested in the Indians ?

Why are they laughing at him ? Does everyone laugh at him ?
Today's newspaper has an article about the increased value of baseball teams. I believe it said the Yankees were worth 2.3 billion and all others increased by 23%. Dolan could care less whether he wins a pennant or not.
