The season seems somewhat promising so I bit the bullet and purchased the MLB dot TV package (not the premium package) for $109.00.

Unfortunately, I did not see the 1/2 off offer for the MILB dot TV package when you sign up. For another $20.00 I could have gotten both. I really wanted to watch Lindor and Ramirez this season. I'll have to call and see if I can cancel the current package and resubmit my subscription adding MILB dot TV.

"I feel right now like we've got the team that's going to say, 'This year, it's Tribe Time.' I'm serious."
--Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera

Asdrubal Cabrera was surprised by winter trade rumors, and hoped the reports weren't true. "I want to be an Indian all my career," he said.

Indians' Closer Chris Perez Has Shoulder Strain

GOODYEAR, Ariz. March 1, 2013 (AP)
Indians All-Star closer Chris Perez could be sidelined one month because of a strained shoulder.

Perez, who saved 39 games last season, will not throw for the next week to 10 days. Once he resumes his program, the Indians estimate he will be pitching in games in three or four weeks.

It is the second straight spring training Perez has been injured. Last year, he was sidelined with a pulled side muscle.

The injury will prevent Perez from playing for the United States in the World Baseball Classic.

The right-hander has 98 saves during the past three seasons. Perez was involved in trade rumors during the offseason, but said he's excited about playing for new Indians manager Terry Francona.

Listening to Nick Swisher on the radio. Might be the #1 biggest supporter of the Cleveland Indians, the FO, Francona, and the city of Cleveland.

" There is a buzz in the 216. "

Swisher said that when he visited the Indians with his pregnant wife they were shown the family room for the Indians players families. In the room was a children's #33 Swisher Indians jersey. Swisher said he and his wife almost started crying.

If you are not listening to ESPN 850 this morning then you are missing some great interviews. I will post them when they are available.

Once again Francona says that he did not ask and the Indians did not tell him they planned to spend any more money. Instead Chris A actually told him what the challenges the Indians face were.
