9767You are correct. The latest losing streak started Saturday. How long will this one drag on?

I hope Chris Antonetti is enjoying his trip to Texas.
I never realized until stories the last day or two that it is perceived by the Northeastern Ohio press as rare that an Indians GM ever attends to watch the team play on the road. I find that incredulous in these days of connectivity that make physical locale near meaningless in conducting business. There's little that Shapiro or Antonetti can do when sitting in chairs in Cleveland during the season, so I don't know why it's considered unusual for the brain trust members to attend road games.
Oh, I forgot. Antonetti is on record saying he never played a game of baseball after the age of 15, and Shapiro is on record saying he never played a game of baseball after high school.....and his high school playing record has been impossible for me to find with my cyber sleuth skills at present. If someone here can find something, I'll eat crow with a little Mrs. Dash, on a slow rotisserie spit.
Antonetti and Shapiro may feel a bit intimidated by actual MLB players they employ and try to sign, which may explain the habit of staying in the office as has now been seemingly reported.
I betcha Jimmy Haslam will be at Browns games on the road.

How about Heckert? He's the GM.

Re: GameTime!™
9770If Haslam likes him, Heckert will be on the road (what a hardship) whenever there is not something more important that might be done sitting in a Cleveland office miles from the team's game.J.R. wrote:I betcha Jimmy Haslam will be at Browns games on the road.

I'm thinking right now Jimmy Haslam is watching the Browns organization through eyes that he himself is GM at this point in time.

9773Blame "that" on the manager

9774They win this game easily. Four guys in the lineup hitting under .200. Must be a Las Vegas trap game.

Re: GameTime!™
9777I know a lot of Lillibridge's playing time can be chalked up to having to fill in for various banged-up players, but I still find it sort of incredible that he's basically been an everyday player ever since he was acquired.
The weather is much more reasonable this week than it was a year ago when I saw the Indians play in Arlington, but I decided not to try to get to a game this season, and they certainly haven't made me regret that so far.

Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

9779McCallister's doing his best to keep the Tribe in this ballgame. We've had our opportunities to score a few runs but, as usual, nothing developing in the clutch department.
