Re: General Discussion
1668I said it was over. If i'm proved wrong, great, and I won't deny that I said it was over.
Re: General Discussion
1670I'm teetering.
I'm in "wait-and-see" mode right now.
We still have a lot of games in the division that we have a chance to win. The two Tiger series will tell the story.

1671I, for one, would welcome Thome back if he brings some mojo with him.

Re: General Discussion
1678First time I have checked in awhile since the Ubaldo trade. Just felt gutted when they gave away our future for a guy who lost 3 mph on his fastball. Could go down as the worst trade in Tribe hx....but I sure hope not

1679Indians, Twins In Trade Talks
By Dan Mennella [August 25, 2011 at 11:47am CST]
The Indians and Twins are engaged in trade talks, according to Buster Olney of ESPN.com (via Twitter). The Indians were awarded the claim on Jim Thome, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com. Thome has a full-no trade clause and would prefer to play for the Phillies, however.
Thome, 40, played for the Indians from 1991-2002. The newest member of the 600 homer club now has a .248/.357/.485 line with 12 home runs in 238 plate appearances for Minnesota. Cleveland designated hitter Travis Hafner is on the disabled list with a strained right foot, so Thome could be a fit for the Indians, the team for which he hit his first 334 home runs.
